For the past several years there seems to have been a fight from all sides on the Second Amendment and what it stands for. There are those on the far left that would gladly take this right away from the American Citizens without hesitation. I for one believe we should have the right to bear arms, and to be able to protect ourselves and our property.
Think about it, bad guys get guns all the time, even when they aren’t legally supposed to have them, they find a way to get them illegally. They’ll always find a way no matter what the laws state. That’s why it’s so important for all of us to be able to protect ourselves if the need arises.
Far-left media outlets such as MSNBC have always condemned the Second Amendment, but it just so happens one reporter accidentally made a strong case for the Second Amendment without even realizing it.

Tuesday during a segment on MSNBC reporter Kerry Sanders made a strong case for the Second Amendment in midst of the chaos in Venezuela. If you aren’t familiar with what is going on over there, here’s a brief explanation to catch you up.
An armored Venezuelan military vehicle plowed into a crowd of protesters earlier in the day in a video clip that went viral and was seen around the world. The country is ran by a brutal socialist dictator by the name of Nicolas Maduro. Maduro maintains control of the military through the whole ordeal, and over the entire country.
Reporter Sanders explained why this is such an issue stating: “You have to understand, in Venezuela gun ownership is not something that’s open to everybody. So if the military have the guns, they have the power and as long as Nicolás Maduro controls the military, he controls the country.”
In other Words, the people of Venezuela are sitting ducks with no way to defend themselves.
A reporter from Fox News elaborated on the situation saying:
“Under the direction of then-President Hugo Chavez, the Venezuelan National Assembly in 2012 enacted the Control of Arms, Munitions and Disarmament Law, with the explicit aim to ‘disarm all citizens. The law took effect in 2013, with only minimal pushback from some pro-democracy opposition figures, banned the legal commercial sale of guns and munitions to all – except government entities.
A Teacher from Venezuela named Javier Vanegas told Fox News that: “Guns would have served as a vital pillar to remaining a free people, or at least able to put up a fight. The government security forces, at the beginning of this debacle, knew they had no real opposition to their force. Once things were this bad, it was a clear declaration of war against an unarmed population.”
You could hear the gunshots from the military as they used force to keep the people at bay, and just where they wanted them. How terrible.
The Venezuelan socialist government went around and forcefully confiscated thousands of firearms from its citizens. Only 37 guns were reportedly given up willingly, the rest were given up using force by the government. This leaves the citizens at the complete mercy of the government. IS this what you want America? I don’t think so, and apparently neither does the reporter from MSNBC.
I wonder if he will still have a job now that he has gone against the leftist media and helped prove why the Second Amendment is really so important.
Republican Senator Marco Rubio had a few things to say himself on the situation, he took to Twitter saying: “Firing on civilians has been a redline for military leaders in #Venezuela. Are they going to allow #MaduroRegime armed gangs to kill civilians to protect regime that’s going to come after many of them next? It’s time to step forward & restore safety & constitutional order”

We stand with the citizens of Venezuela and we stand for the right to bear arms, because “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
