Protests in relation to Trump’s trip to the United Kingdom have been downright insane leading up to a visit with the Queen. We get that Trump is a polarizing figure but his brutal honesty is hard to handle for most “politically correct” people.
One of the weirdest things to happen during this protest is the approval by London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, of a “baby Trump” ballon. This giant balloon caricature of President Donald Trump as a baby was flown over Parliament Square.
Well President Trump is not one to back down and had an epic response to the rogue Mayor who thinks it’s ok to mock a President.
“Take a look at the terrorism that is taking place. Look at what is going on in London. I think he has done a very bad job on terrorism,” Trump declared, adding “I think he has done a bad job on crime, if you look, all of the horrible things going on there, with all of the crime that is being brought in.”
The Hill reports:
Trump, who is currently in the United Kingdom after attending the annual NATO summit in Brussels this week, also told The Sun that Khan’s criticism of him has shown a lack of respect toward the U.S.
“I think he has not been hospitable to a government that is very important. Now he might not like the current President, but I represent the United States,” Trump said.
“I also represent a lot of people in Europe because a lot of people from Europe are in the United States,” he added.
The Mayor responded to Trump… and cowardly backed down.
London Mayor reacts to Trump.
“I am not responsible for immigration policies across Europe or even in our country or city,” responded Mayor Khan when asked about President Trump’s comments.
