There’s no denying that the media’s coverage of Trump has resembled something more of a smear campaign than actual reporting, but it appears that some outlets are turning over a new leaf.
“The Wrecking Crew,” the headline for Time will read next month. “How Trump’s Cabinet Is Dismantling Government As We Know It.”
Time Magazine’s cover for the month of November seems like an attempt to insult the president, but Donald Trump Jr. is quick to point out that this cover is a perfect depiction of our commander-in-chief.
“The irony of this is that Time doesn’t get that this is exactly what people voted for,” Donald Jr. said in a post on his Instagram. “People were sick and tired of “government as we know it” and they voted for someone to change that.”
Trump Jr. then lays into the “media elites” for continuing to perpetuate narratives that aren’t rooted in facts, such as the Russian collusion conspiracy, or Trump’s alleged hatred of women, gays, blacks, asians, hispanics, and any non-white male.
“These people will never see that or understand. These ‘media elites’ are trapped in their bubbles with no chance of getting out. Thank you Time for acknowledging it even though you meant something very different.”
Time’s poor attempt to offend the president is just another example of how out-of-touch liberal America is with the rest of the country. They worship government. They think that by saying “Trump is destroying the government” conservative minded people will be upset.
Here’s the thing, conservatives believe in personal responsibility. They already think that government flat-out sucks, so the idea that a president would come in, and turn the whole political world upside-down is actually a welcome thought.
That’s really what is going on here. The left is fearful that the government, and all its entitlements will be disrupted. Conservatives (which, as we are seeing, is very different from the GOP) simply don’t care the government is in disarray. Over the years they have seen how more government involvement only hurts them, and their families. Trump “dismantling government” is exactly what his supporters voted for. It’s a shame that those with a platform are too blind to see that.
