There is an enormous amount of information we don’t know about the Las Vegas shooting, but the ever-changing timeline is only leaving room for people to come to their own conclusions.
“When authorities get it this wrong, people stop believing them,” Tucker Carlson said on his Fox News program. “So nobody should be surprised when conspiracy theories rush in to fill the void of credible information from officials.”
Such is the case with the “heroic” Mandalay Bay security guard, Jesus Campos, who was allegedly shot by Steven Paddock during the horrific events that transpired.
Campos is now making headlines after mysteriously disappearing moments before he was to appear on multiple television networks.
“We were in a room & we came out & he was gone,” said ABC News’ Stephanie Walsh, who later tweeted that Campos’ whereabouts were “unknown”.
Fox News’ Sean Hannity had an interview scheduled with Campos, but later said that Campos had “cancelled”.
WHAT IS GOING ON?
According to investigative reporter Laura Loomer, who went to Campos’ residence, the family has a “gag order”.
“What I want to know is: who is preventing the family from talking? We have confirmation right now that there is a gag order on the family of Jesus Campos. If Jesus Campos is truly a hero, there is no reason he or his family wouldn’t be allowed to talk about what he saw and what he did.”
This is an excellent question that needs to be addressed. According to the police timeline, Campos had made his way to the shooter’s room six minutes before the mass-shooting even happened.
Six minutes is a lot of time, and is leading many to ask “why did it take the police so long to respond?” A fair question, and one that officials cannot seem to answer.
According to a statement obtained by Fox News, MGM said that they “know that shots were being fired at the festival lot at the same time as, or within 40 seconds after, the time Jesus Campos first reported that shots were fired over the radio.”
“We cannot be certain about the most recent timeline that has been communicated publicly, and we believe what is currently being expressed may not be accurate.”
The problem with this statement is that it conflicts with the “six-minutes before the shooting” timeline the police gave.
Which brings us to Campos, the man who was shot while responding to the gunfire. Why is he not being allowed to talk?
This is a security guard who was shot in the line of duty. By all accounts, this man is a hero. Why would he, and his family not be allowed to talk about their experience? Who is keeping them quiet, and for what purpose?
His union representation said that Campos was taken to a clinic after skipping his interviews, but was unsure as to where he was.
“Right now I’m just concerned where my member is, and what his condition is. It’s highly unusual.”
This is just one of the many “highly unusual” circumstances regarding this entire ordeal, but one that raises major red-flags.
A major witness in this case has been told that he can’t talk. His family has been told that they can’t speak either. We still haven’t been told why.
None of this is being talked about in traditional main-stream media. Aside from Fox News, or The Blaze, most outlets have moved on to covering such topics as Harvey Weinstein, or what Hillary Clinton just said. This is the largest mass-shooting in American history, how is the investigation not a major storyline?
There are a lot of things that don’t add up, but rather than speculate, we will wait for the authorities to divulge the details. Hopefully we learn more about Campos’ whereabouts, but until then the conspiracy theories will continue to swirl.
