Former California Representative Katie Hill announced her resignation on Sunday, but now she says that men are to blame for her choice to pose nude, smoking weed, with an employee.
Yes, in the minds of democrats, nothing is their fault. Hill has no time to reflect on “was it wise to take those pictures?”, because that answer is obvious. No, it wasn’t. Now, she’s blaming a “double standard” for, once again, HER DECISION TO RESIGN.
Nobody is forcing her out. Yet, once again, the party of zero responsibility has to point fingers.
“I am leaving because of a misogynistic culture that gleefully consumed my naked pictures, capitalized on my sexuality and enabled my abusive ex to continue that abuse – this time with the entire country watching.”
Yeah, the thing is, she doesn’t HAVE to resign. There’s no constitutional amendment that says “congressman or women who take naked pictures have to step down”. She’s stepping down because deep down, she knows what she did was wrong. That’s the only explanation as to why she would be voluntarily removing herself from office.
Of course, the left-wing media has been quick to rush to her defense, propping her up as some sort of victim.
While Hill has acknowledged an affair with one of her campaign workers, she denied allegations of an affair with her legislative director, which touched off an ethics investigation in the House. In her speech she called out the hypocrisy of having a president and other men still in power despite accusations of sex crimes, while she has been forced to step down after being a victim of one.
Again, she isn’t being forced to step down. She could have stayed in the House if she REALLY thought what she did was no big deal. Shame has a weird way of manifesting, and clearly it’s turned into another rendition of the “blame game” for Ms. Hill.
“We have men credibly accused of sexual assault who are in boardrooms, in the supreme court, in this very body and, worst of all, in the Oval Office,” she said in her resignation speech.
Some democrats have sort of stood by her side, but none of them are fighting for her to stay.
“Countless women across America have been subjected to this type of harassment and abuse,” Nancy Pelosi said, calling it a “profound violation of those women’s rights”.
Here’s the thing ladies, and gentlemen… If you don’t take naked pictures of yourself, and put them on your phone (that can be accessed by others) then nobody can share them. That’s it. It’s really that simple.
You ever notice how the people who do degenerate things are so quick to blame everyone else for finding out? Earth to Katie, nobody would know you were having an affair with your staff, and doing drugs, if you hadn’t taken pictures.
Plus, again, SHE IS NOT REQUIRED TO STEP DOWN! She made the decision on her own. Good riddance she’s gone.
