Melania Trump was widely criticized by the left for not immediately moving into the White House after Donald Trump was elected. She chose to stay due to the childs’ school situation.
Many assume they have a team of nannies, but a recent interview with Melania shows us her parenting style.
Melania was interviewed by Business Insider and said that she refuses to hire a nanny and prefers to raise Barron herself.
“I like to be hands-on. I think it’s very important,” she told People magazine at one point.
When her husband Donald Trump was asked what he thinks about her parenting he replied…
“If you have too much help, you don’t get to know your children,”
Melania went on to explain that she takes on the majority of the parenting duties so that Donald can focus on his job. Regardless, she states that Barron has a wonderful relationship with his father.
He didn’t change diapers and I am completely fine with that. It is not important to me. It’s all about what works for you. It’s very important to know the person you’re with. And we know our roles. I didn’t want him to change the diapers or put Barron to bed. I love every minute of it.”
Being a parent is one of the most important things one can do in life. Melania says “I am a full time mom; that is my first job, The most important job ever”.
