Jail Guards Watching Jeffrey Epstein Charged In Connection With “Suicide”

While the impeachment inquiry continues to take up most of the news cycle, huge developments have taken place in the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

“Christmas ornaments, drywall and Jeffrey Epstein – name three things that don’t hang themselves,” Senator Kennedy of Louisiana . “That’s what the American people think…and they deserve some answers.”

We may have access to some answers, as two men who were responsible for guarding Epstein have now been arrested and charged with falsifying records, among other things. Time reports:

According to Tuesday’s indictment, the two guards allegedly “repeatedly failed to complete mandated counts of prisoners under their watch” in the Metropolitan Correctional Center’s special housing unit. Instead, Noel, 31 and Thomas, 41, allegedly “sat at their desk, browsed the internet, and moved around the common area” of the detention facility. Prosecutors said that in an attempt to hide their mistakes, they allegedly “repeatedly signed false certifications attesting to having conducted multiple counts of inmates that they did not do.”

Per the indictment, as a result of these “false statements,” the facility mistakenly believed that prisoners in the special housing unit were being regularly monitored, even though “no correctional officer conducted any count or round” of the unit from about 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 9 until about 6:30 a.m. the next morning—at which time the guards found Epstein’s body.

The two guards were both working overtime as a result of staffing shortages when Epstein was found in his cell, the Associated Press previously reported.

The guards who are being charged are said to have been “working overtime”, which is highly suspect. Why on earth was Jeffrey Epstein, the world’s most powerful and well connected pedophile, who had relationships with the Royal Family, the Clintons, and other members of the elite, held in a prison that was understaffed?

Does anyone else smell the stench of a coverup? We already know that a DNA test wasn’t done to confirm the body was Epstein’s (not that he’s alive, but that a prosecutor couldn’t convict a murder suspect). Now we find out that the jail he was being housed in was understaffed, and had no record that indicated any level of accountability.

The whole thing stinks.
