Here’s A List Of Every Eagles Player That Plans On Skipping White House Visit With Trump

It’s only been a few hours since the Philadelphia Eagles took the Super Bowl championship in a win that made history. It’s a tradition for the winning team to visit the White House and shake hands with the President, but this time some of the Eagles players are not wanting to join in.

President Trump knows how to show respect regardless of others political stance in the NFL and didn’t waste any time congratulating the Eagle on their victory.

However, some Eagles players are not showing him the same respect. So far only 3 players have vowed to not visit the White House. Here they are along with the reasons why.

Wide receiver Torrey Smith, defensive end Chris Long and safety Malcolm Jenkins have all said they won’t be going to visit President Trump, reported.

1. Malcolm Jenkins

“I personally do not anticipate attending (a victory event at the White House)”

2. Chris Long

In a podcast Long said: “No, I’m not going to the White House, Are you kidding me?”

Long said it was because he does not want to be judged by his son.

“When my son grows up, and I believe the legacy of our president is going to be what it is, I don’t want him to say, ‘Hey Dad, why’d you go when you knew the right thing was to not go?”

3. Torrey Smith

Smith is not going and went on again about the Anthem protests.

It’s sad that they have to take the low road and this action shows that they are just not mature enough to show respect to our President, regardless of their differences. SHAME on them.
