George W. Bush Stuns The Room When He Goes On A Rant About Trump, He’ll Never Be Invited Back To The

The office of President of the United States is one of the most exclusive clubs in the world. It’s only ever had 44 members, and only a handful of those members have been alive at any given time. So for one former President to come out and be critical of the current President, is a Very Big Deal.

Former President George W. Bush recently gave a speech where he made some very thinly veiled criticisms of President Trump. While speaking at a Bush Institute gathering in New York City, the 43rd President addressed the crass themes of President Trump, and the failings of the current state of the Republican party,

“Our young people need positive role models. Bullying and prejudice in our public life sets a national tone, provides permission for cruelty and bigotry, and compromises the moral education of children.”

These barbs definitely are directed at President Trump, who has always been much more of a high end muckraker than a man of the people. His tone towards others quickly turns antagonistic, and his patience seems short for anyone who may hold a different view or express anything less than approval of him or the job he’s currently doing.

He even touched on the current trend of super nationalism. Touching on that things have to remain in balance.

‘We’ve seen nationalism distorted into nativism, forgotten the dynamism that immigration has always brought to America,’

Then President Bush, opened up and really made his strongest statement against President Trump.

“Our identity as a nation, unlike other nations, is not determined by geography or ethnicity, by soil or blood. … This means that people from every race, religion, ethnicity can be full and equally American. It means that bigotry and white supremacy, in any form, is blasphemy against the American creed.”

Perhaps some of the strongest words ever spoken from a former President to a sitting President.

It’s obvious that the power structure isn’t divided, but aligned completely against Trump. If Trump could tone down his own rhetoric and adopt more sensible, traditional conservative policies, then he’d fair a better chance at affecting real change, and actually accomplish some good.
