Construction Company Continues Building Border Wall Despite Judge’s Order To Stop

A construction company in Texas is pointing a big middle finger at a judge who ordered a halt on border wall building, claiming that the wall could potentially cause “imminent and irreparable damage” to the National Butterfly Center.

The Guardian reports that construction crews were working on the private border wall funded by We Build the Wall, using at least 10 heavy machinery vehicles to move soil, dig trenches and position tall metal posts, all taking place within days of State District Judge Keno Vasquez issuing a temporary restraining order.

The injunction, issued on Tuesday by Vasquez, was granted citing potential “imminent and irreparable damage” to the National Butterfly Center, a 100-acre riverfront nature reserve adjacent to property where the private group was building the wall.

“The property and rights involved are unique and irreplaceable, so that it will be impossible to accurately measure, in monetary terms, the damages caused by the Defendants’ conduct,” Vasquez wrote in the order.

Just to put it all in to a short little soundbite… A judge named Vasquez doesn’t want a border wall, and is using the potential loss of butterfly life as the reason… Seems fishy.

That’s exactly what border patrol agents say as well, claiming that “anyone trying to stop us [from building the wall] is probably benefiting from the cartels.”

In a video released on Wednesday by the groups founder, Brian Kolfage, “Foreman Mike” updates folks on the progress so far with the wall’s construction:

“Currently to date, over 50,000 illegal immigrants have been stopped from crossing the border, thanks to you,” he says, referring to the people who donated to the company. “You patriot donors, God bless you all.”

“Over $25 million worth of illicit drugs, and sex trade, you stopped it.”

“We’re going to be putting this up,” the foreman said. “We have to supercharge it now. It’s time to get really moving.”
