Carrie Underwood’s life has been an amazing rollercoaster. Simon Cowell was right when he predicted on the eve of her American Idol win that she would be the biggest star the show ever produced.
After coming forward with the struggles she and her husband Mike have had conceiving, and finally being able to announce they are pregnant, Carrie surprised the country again with getting her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“How does a girl from Checotah, Oklahoma end up with a star on the Hollywood walk of fame? I will tell you how…belief.”
She credits her family’s belief in her for a large portion of her success,
“…driving me to places, taking me to sing places. Just being incredibly encouraging. There was belief there. And as I got a little older, and reality set in, you just don’t know. How is this possible?”
“How does anything like this actually happen to a girl like me?”
She thanks her husband, Mike,
“I met an incredible man, who thinks I’m so much better than I actually am in every way. Thank you for believing in me.”
She turns her attention to her three year old son, Isaiah,
“We had another little man that believes in me too. Isaiah Michael, I love you so much. You’re the best thing we ever did. The best thing – I love you. And I’m proud of you and I believe in you too.”
Just like everything Carrie does, she’s completely authentic in how much she values everyone around her that helps her be her, and that’s where her charm comes from.
She knows that she’s been given an incredible gift and platform to share it.
Thanks for being awesome, Carrie!
