4th Attack On ICE Facility In A Month, Media Silence Is Deafening

CNN, MSNBC, you name it, none of them want to cover the situation at the border with balance.

That’s probably why you never hear when crazy people attack law enforcement, unless it suits their agenda.

According to police in San Antonio, the windows of the ICE office near Loop 410 and Nacogdoches Road were shattered by shots fired from across the freeway. Gosh, who would have something against ICE?

“This attack at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Field Office in San Antonio is completely without justification,” ICE Enforcement Removal Operations San Antonio Field Office Director Daniel Bible said in a statement. “This disturbing public discourse shrouds our critical law enforcement function and unnecessarily puts our officers’ safety at risk.”

After the dust had settled, the FBI issued a statement:

“The FBI and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) can confirm that at approximately 3:00 A.M. this morning, August 13, 2019, shots were fired into ICE, Immigration Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in San Antonio, at 1777 NE Loop 410. Shortly before or after, shots were also fired at a nearby building. Both buildings also house businesses completely unrelated to ICE operations. No injuries were reported. The FBI has opened an investigation into the shootings and is currently processing the crime scenes and reviewing surveillance footage”

Representative Chip Roy had this to say:

“The targeted attack on ICE offices in San Antonio is deeply disturbing. I am glad to see the FBI has launched an investigation into the shooting which took place early this morning across the street from my district office. While I am relieved that no one was injured, we must make clear that these continued violent attacks on law enforcement will not be tolerated. This appears to be the latest in a series of targeted assaults on the men and women of ICE and we stand shoulder to shoulder with them, CBP, and all our federal, state, & local law enforcement. Any incitement of violence against them is unacceptable and has no place in San Antonio or anywhere else in this nation. We pray for the safety of all our law enforcement officials, for the swift prosecution of the perpetrators, and for common sense and civil society to prevail. Those who attempt to thwart the rule of law and subvert our political processes through violence should never be allowed to succeed in their objectives. ICE and CBP should not be deterred in their efforts to secure the border or enforce the immigration laws of this country.”

Clearly, ICE isn’t the problem.
